September 2010 Bow of the Month

"The most recent bow I made for a Colleague of mine.  The limbs I bought form you were Purple Heart with Osage wedges under clear glass.  The Bow is a 68" R/D take down longbow that drew 54#'s at 28".  The riser was made of the same woods with white phenolic added accents.  The bow was finished with around 10 coats of True Oil hand rubbed then finished with around 6 coats of the Finishing Wax.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this bow - it is a wonderful shooter, very accurate and forgiviing, espeially for a first time archer like my colleague or even a "pro" like myself.
